If you're looking for another league to join the Speedway Summer Series, an all oval series, is coming up in June, I'm sure we'd all love to have you join.

You can occasionally find me on the FM Oval Junkies server if you ever want to race.

I'd love to sign up for this. But alas, I have not run 100 laps with each combo. Guess it's time to get racing!

I was wondering why the server had been going down recently. Sad to hear it's because of attacks. Yesterday I was actually wondering if the people launching DDoS attacks on the servers were behind it.

Quote from rockclan :Reminder, don't forget to set a lap of atleast 0:46.95 on our server, before the qualifying!

I hope I'll be able to get a lap in, my joystick stopped working right yesterday. :\ Good thing my wheel is gonna get here later today.

Quote from FalconBridge :There is no password on the server right now. I think the password will only be applied when the event starts.

Thanks for the info. Time to get driving!

So how will I be accepted if I can't run a lap on the server? Since you don't openly distribute the password, it's impossible for me to record a lap.

No worries if there's nothing you can do about it.

Note: I may or may not be able to compete, as I'm not sure if I'll be busy this Sunday. So I'm entering now just in case I'm able to compete after all.

Well the time is 8PM EST, and I'm in the CST time zone, so it's 7PM racetime for me.

Quote from boothy :You may wish to familiarise yourself with the distance between the United States and Australia.

I realize the distance from the US to Australia.

My ping for a server that is pretty much anywhere in the US is 35ms so I don't think ping will be an issue, even considering the great distance.

Quote from e2mustang :we should rename this thread by deleting the words "cars" and "in"

Lol, I'm sure the devs are working on S3 as we speak.

Quote from dekojester :From today, the server is only open to those who met the entry requirements. You did not attend enough sessions to meet the entry requirements.

Okay, I understand.

Okay, so could you PM me with the new password? The website isn't updated.

I keep getting the "wrong password" message for the server, was it changed?

1. I just started 2 weeks ago. I love it!
2. Best physics and overall gameplay of any sim I've seen/tried.
3. Cheaper than a lot of other sims. I mean $32 and you get all of the content, that's a good deal!
4. Low, low sytem requirements, still giving amazing graphics. I run a stock Gateway slimline that's 3 years old, with integrated Intel graphics, yet I. Get 50 FPS in most situations. That's efficiency!
5. Great community with plenty of servers and events.

6. (Because 5 just isn't enough) The modability, I haven't seen many other sims that allow you to make skins, let alone completely original content.

Quote from Mustangman759 :your biggest problem was that you were taking T3 low, when you need to take it towards the high side

Yeah, found that out, my laps are much better now.

But I now have unexpected plans for today, that take up the whole day, so I won't be able to run either practice and that pretty much blows my chances of running the 250, since I went out of yesterday's practice early and wasn't able to run any other sessions. So I don't meet the requirements for running the 250. There's always next year, I suppose.

Okay, I thought there was a layout, just didn't know it was only on the server.

Thanks for answering my question.

Quote from Eclipsed :Since you're new here, just tried to point out (in my weird way) that LFS isn't that much customizable. And about edit of your previous post - there is commitment cone on pit entry, should check the track more carefully! Use shift+U to look around,if you have any doubts.

Is there a Kyoto 250 layout that I missed? The default KY layout doesn't have a commitment cone.

I may be new to LFS, but I'm not stupid, I knew about the Shift+U camera.

Quote from CodeLyoko1 :be sure you read all the rules and name regulations. Also, get your set fixed before the prac sessions, since it's a race prac. I just felt bad for you last race not knowing what to do XD

Well, I didn't know if he (Jonathan) meant me or not, I knew perfectly fine what to do if was talking to me. I actually read the rules before I even signed up. And yeah, I've gotten my setup pretty good, at least better than it was. I can now take T3 nearly full throttle.

Quote from dekojester :I believe you'll find that the NDR Sporting Code section on Pitlane echoes those rules. Drivers are asked to stay in the driving lane unless stopping. I noticed some abysmal situational awareness during Friday's early session, with the bumping and barging. Yes, I know you all want to make up as much time as possible, but avoid contact doing so.

If it would help vision of the pit stalls, I can add chalk lines and/or poles to help mark them. I will complete the spaces with chalk when I get home from work in a few hours, other objects later.

You could also make flags that are coming out of the garage stalls, much like the flags NASCAR pit crews use to signal their driver.

Edit: It might also be beneficiary to make a commitment cone and blend cone.

I'm in, should be 12 PM CST, so I'm definitely good on time.

Final update, I hope. I felt like the NDR Logo was too hidden, so I moved it and mad it more visible. It's still on the side of the rear bumper, so it complies with the skin guidelines.
